Find a Place to Stay

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is a massive event, with attendance typically being about 500,000 visitors. While not all of these visitors will stay the full ten days, the city still gets very crowded. Finding accommodations last minute can be very difficult, so early booking is encouraged. If you’re having trouble finding a hotel, consider staying at a nearby rental home or campground. Luckily, the internet makes reserving accommodations in advance much easier.

Attend a Few Concerts

The Sturgis Rally is famous for its live concerts, many of which feature some of the most famous names in the industry. Obviously, these kinds of major events fill up quickly, so it’s usually worth it to try to get tickets ahead of time. If you’re having trouble getting into the larger shows, smaller venues nearby will usually hold their own shows. Even if the names aren’t as famous, many attendees argue that the music is every bit as good at these smaller concerts.
